Retail Enterprise Network - EU High Street development and Twinning project with Manchester Metropolitan University

REN, a 2 year project backed by the European Union under the EQUAL Community Programme and driven by around 40 organisations both domestic and international all with the aim of protecting and promoting the small retail sector, REN provides the definitive platform of help for independent retailers.

Feasibility study for the Portman Estate (for CEO Hugh Seaborn)

Feasibility study on a new farm shop complex in Oxfordshire, linking to their two farms and the redevelopment of the   ‘Portman village’ - New Quebec Street and Seymour Place, and opportunities of hotels like The Cumberland and The Churchill

Local Shops On-Line – employed by Business Link Surrey (and SE Business links)

To set up and project manage this 3 year initiative LSOL to assist in independent retailers and suppliers to use IT as a fundamental part of running their business.

Local Produce Buying Research Project – with University of Surrey School of Management

Local research into buying habits and attitudes of retail customers

Economic Recovery Fund – with Business Link Surrey

A project to assess and recommend business focus and sustainable development for 11 small businesses, giving 3 days consultancy to each

Surrey Hills AONB

Produced two reports relating to the development of a local produce system for Surrey farmers and the small business retail chain. Along with general consultancy advice on retailers, local produce and web sites.

Surrey Quality Producers and A Taste of the South East

Extensive qualitative and quantitive research to ascertain if there was a market for Surrey Hills local branded produce. Production of research report and comprehensive marketing plan.

Partnering 2000

A European Social Fund collaboration and training project, instigated by the Learning & Business  Observatory and the then Training & Skills Councils in the SE
